Darcie Richards, 28, left her thousands of social media followers divided after she decided to join OnlyFans to “earn more money” after a five-year-long career in bricklaying

A female bricklayer left people stunned when she gave up her five-year career for a raunchy life on camera – earning £20,000 a month.

Darcie Richards had built a following of more than 100,000 people by posting bricklaying content on social media. The stunning 28-year-old started the career five years ago after learning much of the skills of the trade from her father.

After a while, she thought she'd gotten what she could out of her work videos and decided to spice up her page on a more racy venture. The blonde beauty set up an OnlyFans account – a decision which has left her fans divided.

Speaking to the New York Post, Darcie said: "I thought, ‘I want to make more money. What could I do that’s gonna absolutely shake the hornet’s nest?’ So I thought I’ll start myself an OnlyFans page.”

The move has proven to be worthwhile as she is bringing in approximately $20,000 a month from the subscription site alone. In her best week on the site, she raked in around $12,340.

But despite the skyrocketing bank balance, her decision has been a controversial one among her fans on Instagram. Some of her followers have slammed her for starting her online career by encouraging women to pursue a career in bricklaying before changing careers.

'I earn £4.3m by humiliating men with my giant height – they beg me to squash them'

One user said: "Doesn't want to be treated different on sites due to gender but then proceeds to make an OnlyFans page.. Just do your job sunshine."

A second added: "Inspires girls (younger and older) to get into construction then proceeds with encouraging them to this? Shouldn't be promoting it here in my opinion."

A third commented: "Used to be a serious female construction influencer now resorting to this nonsense." However, Darcie doesn't appear to let the hate get to her.

She responded: "I used to be a waitress too, and work in Subway, hairdressers, kitchen porter, furniture factory, animal sanctuary… what’s your point? Who said I have to stay in one profession and never leave or try [to] run my own business or work for myself or earn more money….?"

Meanwhile, other viewers were more supportive of her choice as they cheered her on for making more money. A viewer argued: "No way! You’re brave!! Go girl." Another wrote: "YESSSS girl! So proud of you."

Even Darcie's mum has hit back at trolls, telling NYP: "Darcie hasn’t changed a single bit in herself. She’s still our daughter, she’s still exactly the same as what she was before. Except she’ll disappear into her bedroom for three or four hours, then [make] five times as much as the boys who have been slogging it out on the building site."
