EXCLUSIVE: Paul and Kaye Davis, both 44, have been together for ten years but they decided to become swingers after fearing they had missed out on the single life. But things got awkward when work colleagues found out
A nurse who turned to swinging in her 40s because she regretted “never playing the field” recalled the tense moment her bedroom antics were unearthed by gossiping colleagues.
Kaye Davis, from Portsmouth, was working in an acute hospital when salacious rumours about her sex life began to spread.
But when confronted about her swinger lifestyle, she refused to be shamed for it and vowed to keep indulging in the things that bring her happiness.

The healthcare professional, 44, embraced swinging after approaching her now husband about her fears of missing out on life – having always been in long-term relationships.
They then agreed to go to a sex club one year later and after a thrilling first experience, the Hampshire couple continued to embrace non-monogamy.
But she then monetised from her saucy activities with an OnlyFans account, which inevitably led to more people finding out.
And remembering the awkwardness of her work colleagues becoming aware, she told the Daily Star: “I didn’t really tell anybody from work and I kept it under the radar.
“A friend of mine contacted me and said ‘oh I don’t know if you are aware but porters have come across your Instagram account but I don’t know if it’s you or just someone stealing your pictures’.
“She said they had started spreading it around the hospital and they were saying I was a swinger. There was all this stuff out there that I had a gangbang and there were videos and I said that’s not true and people like to embellish things.
“But I did say it was mainly true and she asked me what I was going to do and I said nothing. I am going to carry on, I love my life and I think the problem is that there is a huge stigma about swinging, OnlyFans and sex workers.
“I said that we were not doing anything wrong, it’s all consensual, and why shouldn’t we be able to do the things we want to? We are not hurting anybody. So from then we started telling people.”
Despite knowing they had nothing to be ashamed of, Kaye said letting friends and family know was still a daunting conversation.
And while it was mainly well-received, some prudish pals no longer interact with them after taking umbrage with their open relationship.
Remembering how anxious she felt about being transparent with others, she said: “I was really nervous about telling people and I think that’s probably why we kept it under the radar.
“I felt people would judge our relationship by thinking we didn’t love each other because we are having sex with other people. So that was really challenging and I went back and forth on it for a long time.
“We knew that even though we have sex with other people, we wouldn’t want to be with anyone else, this is completely different, this is sex and Paul says that if he has a problem and wants to come home and talk then I would be the only one he would want to do that with.”
Speaking of Paul, one of his family members showed a particular interest in their adventures. Laughing, Kaye explained: “It’s quite comical because Paul’s dad asks him who he has sex with.
“For example he will know people and he will say ‘oh have you had sex with her’ and he’s like ‘no dad’. Our friends and family have been absolutely fine really and they have been very welcoming.”
She added: “There have been a few friends who never really said anything but they don’t talk to us any more. I don’t know why it is… it’s not like we want to have sex with you or everybody we meet.”
Kaye now does nursing shifts through an agency and both her and Paul, a paint sprayer, have reduced their working hours to accommodate OnlyFans.
It took patience before being rewarded for their spicy content but it has now “started to flourish” thanks to having tens of thousands of followers on Instagram and TikTok.
Her Instagram bio states she is “here to prove there’s life after 44” and the creator has come a long way since her first swinging encounter.
Paul and Kaye travelled to London for a sex party but the jittery pair pledged to go as bystanders to see if the lifestyle was for them.
But they ended up couple swapping on night one and they have been going back for more fun ever since. Kaye remembered: “Oh we were absolutely crapping ourselves, we were so nervous.
“We kept saying we are not going to do anything and we were just going to watch. But we were absolutely petrified, we had butterflies in our stomachs and we walked into a club and there’s also this misconception that people think it’s going to be a really seedy kind of club and you have this image of what swingers are going to look like but it’s nothing like that at all.
“They were all different ages, young, older, middle-aged and we went along and did a full swap on our first night. The next morning we had breakfast and I remember thinking, ‘oh my word, did we actually do that’.
“We are not particularly jealous people but you don’t know how you are going to feel so we thought that if it wasn’t right for us or it was going to affect our relationship or that if one of us didn’t like it then we should stop it – but we thought it was absolutely amazing.”
