Inappropriate behaviour from older men and celebrities has dominated the news headlines in recent days – and sadly, it seems the issue is a prevalent one due to these women’s experiences
Women have bravely opened up about the inappropriate messages sent to them by older men.
It's a topic that's been hitting headlines a lot recently – and sadly, could be more common than you may think.
While some received creepy DMs from their former teachers, others have been contacted by high profile celebrities like footballers.

Daily Star has rounded up some of the disturbing incidents below…
Vera Dijkmans
Dutch woman Vera Dijkmans became a model shortly after leaving her teenage years behind.
But Vera, now 22, was left feeling “uncomfortable” when her former school teacher started paying thousands for her sultry snaps.
The older man once told her in the classroom that she would “go nowhere in life” but has since paid her £1,000 for a one-off lingerie picture.
Speaking about the unexpected subscriber, who is now one of her “biggest fans”, Vera said: "He tried to keep his identity hidden but I recognised his face and realised it was my old school teacher.
"Back then, he treated me like any other student but we didn't get along – he told me I wouldn't go anywhere in life.”
The former waitress, who dropped out of school at 15 and now lives in LA, added: “I found it so shocking because back in school, I remember him being very strict and I never got the impression that he liked me as a student, let alone like this.
“It's even weirder because he told me he had seen me grow as a person on social media and as he got more and more intrigued, he wanted to reach out.”
Dolly Simpson
One racy model who had a similarly sinister experience with an ex-teacher is Dolly Simpson who recently appeared on the Daily Star’s My Colourful Life series with her twin Daisy.
The sisters have spent a combined £140,000 on plastic surgery to look identical after being bullied for their looks in school.
And despite trying to put the traumatic adolescent years behind her, Dolly, 26, was surprised when her former teacher subscribed to her on OnlyFans.
She even told her mum who was outraged and claimed the bloke should be locked up.
Dolly, from Stockton-on-Tees, said: “He subscribed to my OnlyFans and said ‘oh you’ve grown up to be such a beautiful young woman’.
“It was really creepy because he knew me as a child.
“I did talk to him and try to get money out of him but then I just ignored him because it was really weird. I told my mum and she said he should be in jail.”
Tanisha Bellucci
Tanisha Bellucci was just 17 when two high profile entertainers slid into her DMs on Instagram.
One was from a footballer while the other was a backup dancer to one of the world’s biggest stars.
And in messages seen by this publication, the “creepy” athlete demanded to know her age after sending her fire emojis in response to one of her photos.
When she told him she was 18 in four weeks, he replied: “Looool shout me then.”
Speaking to us, Tanisha, who is now 18, said: “I was creeped out because of his status and was shocked how easy it is for someone well known to just try and sh*g someone.
“It was a pure booty call and that’s what disgusted me. I felt like a pizza order and it felt like he was actually ordering a takeout with toppings.
“It felt like prostitution, there was not even an offer for a drink, just ‘shout me’ when I am ready. He wanted to go’ bend over’ and then recycle me and that’s what is the most shocking thing.”
Chloe Sheldrake
Chloe Sheldrake, 22, has graced pages of the Daily Star's Page 3 and has a thriving OnlyFans career that has made her family proud.
But unfortunately, being in the spotlight has opened the Essex lass up to creepy comments from older men.
She told Daily Star: “I’ve had men that have wanted to pay me to find out my postcode so that was a bit scary for me as I didn’t know why they wanted my address and if they would stalk me!
“I've also had people text me on fake accounts saying they know me – and even though they have a girlfriend, they want to sleep with me…
“That is disgusting and so inappropriate most are on fake accounts and are very hidden up so you can’t find their real identity but some even use their real name!”
Bridget Malcolm
Bridget Malcolm is a model who has worked with Victoria’s Secret, Ralph Lauren and Stella McCartney.
But in recent years she waived her right to anonymity after outing her former music teacher who committed “serious misconduct” and “grooming-like behaviour” and subsequently had his licence suspended.
Aurello Gallo is 23 years older than Bridget who he taught at Perth's Methodist Ladies' College.
His messages to her have since been made public, and in one disturbing email in 2009, he said: “Glad to hear that you are being looked after and also becoming aware of people.
“The second hand news was courtesy of [name of another teacher], who went on to tell me that she spoke to you for an hour and informed me of the topless photos which you obviously didn't send me!!! Why not may I ask!"
Two years earlier he wrote to her saying: “I sincerely wish you a safe and holy Christmas and special new year. By the way thanks for the birthday wish – NOT. Love Mr Gallo – sorry I mean regards Mr Gallo.”
Gallo started sending the chilling messages before she had even graduated from school. He was eventually investigated and punished by the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
Richelle Knupper
Yet another former schoolgirl who was later contacted by a teacher is Richelle Knupper who was a mainstream model in LA before quitting after being forced into “unhealthy” eating habits.
She spoke about the questionable exchange with her one time teacher in a viral TikTok video where viewers reacted with disgust.
Richelle, better known as Rara, is now 24 and works in the adult industry but fans believe the dynamic between her and her former mentor remained inappropriate.
Speaking to her TikTok followers, where she appeared uncomfortable about the situation, she said: “Me after one of my high school teachers subscribed to my OnlyFans and told me they always knew I was something special.”
One viewer replied: “I know he hasn't broken any laws (that you know of) but seriously tell the school. They should be made aware that he could potentially be looking at high school girls like this. They should at least keep an eye on this guy.”
A second wrote: “I’m sorry this is so disturbing.”
Another went with: “You should tell the school.”
